Baba Taher was a mystic and poet of the Seljuk period. The agnomen of this poet is Oryan, which means blunt and frank; because, unlike other poets of his time, he wrote poetry in a completely blunt and frank manner.
The primary tomb of Baba Taher has constructed about 800 years ago, which was a hexagonal brick building; but this building, which was destroyed completely during the reign of Pahlavi (the first king of the Pahlavi dynasty), was restored and of course, the reconstruction remained incomplete.
The current construction of this poet was built in 1965. The pillars of the building are constructed in such a way that the eyes of the spectator are unconsciously drawn to the sky, which inspires the viewer to ascension to the sky. There are 24 inscriptions in the interior area of The Tomb of Baba Taher where the poetries of this Lur (Iranian people living mainly in western and south-western Iran) poet, are inscribed on them.
