The Historical Inscriptions of Ganjnameh
On the foothills of Mount Alvand, two inscriptions are belonging to the two Achaemenid kings, namely Xerxes and Darius. Inscriptions are written in three columns in Akkadian, Ancient Persian, and Elamite languages. During the Achaemenid period, there was a road called The Royal Road which connected the capital cities of Iran. It is believed that these inscriptions were on the path of one of the branches of The Royal Road. In the text of these inscriptions, the Achaemenid kings praised God and after introducing their fathers, they introduced themselves as King of the Kings of Iran.
