This historic site was discovered in 1997. A cemetery that dates back to 4,000 thousand years ago and most of the buried people in it were children and teenagers. Because of the burial of children’s playing instruments and decorative objects which are mostly made out of iron, as well as pottery vases, this place is named the Museum of Iron Age.
At the moment, the objects which are obtained from that site are in this museum located on the same site. The Museum of Iron Age is located near the Blue Mosque and the Azerbaijan Museum.
