Maqbaratoshoara, which is one of the symbols of Tabriz city, is the tomb of about 400 poets and mystics who belong to different periods, including Ilkhanate, Aq Qoyunlu, and Safavid. Mohammad-Hossein Shahriar, Khaqani, Homam-e Tabrizi, and Qatran Tabrizi are among the most famous poets buried in this place.
As for the history of architecture of The Maqbaratoshoara, it should be mentioned that in 1981, a call for a design competition was made via the newspapers in order to choose the best construction for the mausoleum of these famous poets, in which Mr. Frouzanmehr won the contest and performed the current plan. The Mausoleum of Poets construction is located near Amir Nezam House (The Qajar Museum of Tabriz).
