In 1968, the construction of the Iranian National Botanical Garden began in an area of more than 140 hectares on the southern hillside of the Alborz Mountain range near Chitgar Forest Park, which now is the largest botanical garden in the Middle East.

- Because the garden is very large, make sure you have the right shoes.
