Shushtar Historical Hydraulic System is one of the antiquities of Iran which was registered in UNESCO, and it belongs to the Achaemenid and Sassanid periods. The Historical Hydraulic System consists of 13 parts including the dam (a structure to raise the water level), canals, mills, and bridges, all of which are made for using the water of the Karun river for various purposes, including agriculture.
