According to the pieces of evidence, the main mansion and the garden of the Cinema Museum of Iran date back to the era of Mohammad Shah Qajar, the main mansion was made by one of his courtiers. During the Qajar and Reza Shah Pahlavi era, this garden and mansion have experienced many ups and downs. They have been completely destroyed and restored several times.

Eventually, the garden was purchased by the Farah Pahlavi Foundation and was dedicated to the venue for art festivals. The area of ​​Ferdows Garden is about 20 hectares and the mansion is 1000 m2 in three floors and 11 halls which are dedicated to the artworks of Iranian cinema.

Ground Floor of Cinema Museum of Iran

Armenian Hall

Armenians have played an important role in the history of Iranian cinema from the outset, and the first films with tourism content are provided by them. The Hall is dedicated to the Armenian cinematic works.

Underground Hall

The hall houses old paintings and objects of Iranian and world theaters.

Farhad’s house

Farhad Mehrad is a composer and pop singer and famous Iranian rock artist. This section of the museum is dedicated to displaying his personal belongings, instruments, and books.

Dubbing and Sound Hall

You can see dubbing and sound objects of Iranian cinema at the Hall from the beginning.

First Floor of Cinema Museum of Iran

Hall of Elders

This section consists of 4 Halls, in which the images of the icons of the Iranian cinema are shown as stands.

Ali Hatami Room

Ali Hatami is one of the leading Iranian cinema directors, in this section of the museum you can find symbols of his films.

Children’s and Youth Exhibitions

The exhibition features nostalgic dolls of Iranian cinema, as well as photos of people who work on this section. The holy defense exhibition and the Old Theater (Tamashakhaneh) are from other parts of the first floor of the Cinema Museum of Iran.

Second Floor

International Hall

The Hall of Fame Awards has been featured by directors and other actors in Iranian cinema from international festivals.

Contemporary Hall

This hall is dedicated to the history of contemporary Iranian cinema.

Blue Hall

In this section you will get acquainted with the history of the Garden of Ferdows, the advent of cinema in Iran and the world, the cinema museum, and the first pictures of Iranian cinema history.

There are two cinema halls in the museum devoted to movies are the screen right now, as well as two cafes alongside the Cinema Museum of Iran provides for visitors.
