The construction of the Fath-Abad garden started in 1874 (Gregorian calendar) and finished in 5 years. This garden with an area of 13 hectares and with an infrastructure of 1500 meters, has been reconstructed several times including in 1913 and 2014. The central mansion of this garden is a two-story building that was inspired by Iranian-European architecture. Many sections are established in the building nowadays including the rulers’ museum (containing the biography and pictures of the former rulers of Kerman in the old days), painting room (containing wall paintings painted with gold), and the southern buildings of the main mansion.
Other sections of Fath-Abad garden include restaurants, soda shops, teahouses, shops offering handicrafts and medicinal herbs. It is highly recommended to visit the garden both in day and at night since the lighting of the garden is very charming and it is worth visiting.
