“Mashhad Old Mosalla” or “Mosalla Paein Khiaban” was built in Mashhad to Sarakhs road in 1676. Due to the Uzbeks Raid to Iran, the building had become really unsafe for those who wanted to pray there therefore they needed a different new Mosalla.
This Mosalla has a long porch and 2 other short porches which have given it an asymmetrical beautiful shape. The surface of the porch is beautified with shaped tiles that date back to Safavid Dynasty, and inside the porch, there exist verses of the Quran written into Thututh Handwriting.
Nowadays this building is located in the southeast of Mashhad and the boulevard which leads to the building is called Mosalla Boulevard. The monument is now considered as a funded program of rebuilding the valuable buildings and attractions and in the near future will become a cultural-historical building.
