Qavam family has been a prominent, wealthy, and influential family in Shiraz. Zinat al-Molk is the fourth daughter of Qavam al-Molk, the patriarch of the Qavam family, who in the past was well-known for being kind to the poor and helping others. The building, which was completed in 1885, is located next to the Qavam House (Narenjestan-e Qavam). In fact, the main usage of this site was the gathering of female members of the Qavam family.
In the past, the two buildings have been connected via an underground passageway which has been shut down after the two buildings were isolated from each other. Tiling, carvings on stone, mirror works, and large and small ponds used in these buildings are of the architectural beauties of Zinat al-Molk House. Now in the basement of this building, there is a gallery of paintings and sculptures, all of which are current and past famous figures of Fars province and Shiraz city.
Nasir al-Mulk Mosque, Atigh Jame Mosque, and Khan School are all the attractions in the vicinity of Zinat al-Molk House.
