First of all, we must say that only if other colors interfere with white or lacquer, it is possible to do Persian rug color correction. Because the rest of the colors may not be corrected, and if other colors are strongly mixed, it is not possible to correct them at home.
As it was said, Persian rug color correction is possible only for white color, in the following we want to teach you how to restore white and lacquer colors in your Persian rug to the previous transparency.
To do this you need the following pieces of equipment:
- Sour yogurt
- Hydrosulfite (one tablespoon of jam)
- Bowl (for mixing ingredients)
- Brush (to rub the solution on the parts that need color correction)
- Hairdryer
- Pumice
Thoroughly clean the Persian rug before starting the process.
First, we mix sour yogurt with hydrosulfite and wait for an hour. After an hour, use a brush to draw the solution on the white parts of the Persian rug that are mixed with other colors. Note that the narrower the brush makes Persian rug color correction more beautiful.
Also, be careful that the solution does not reach the parts that are colored other than white because those colors become pale.
Now you should dry it with a hairdryer.
At this stage of Persian rug color correction, you should scrape the surface of the Persian rug using pumice or something similar to the solution that has now dried. Now the white parts of the Iranian carpet have been brilliantly trained from the first day.
Yellowing of the fringe of Persian rug color correction after washing
The solution you should use for this is a mixture of water, salt, and white vinegar. First, mix one and a half liters of water with 2 teaspoons of salt and two teaspoons of white vinegar.
At this stage of Persian rug color correction, dip a cloth with the made solution and apply a little on the fringe or parts to return their original color.
If the previous method did not work, you can use baking soda instead of salt and proceed according to the previous steps.
Sodium carbonate, water, and salt solution of sodium sulfate and pyridine solution are other solutions that are used to correct the color of Persian rugs, but if you do not have experience in this field, do not go for these solutions because it destroys the texture of your rug.
