It is unclear when exactly the Jahan Nama garden was built, but what is clear is that during the era of Muzaffarids, it was very cultivated and green. The garden is so beautiful that Timur (Tamerlane) orders to build a garden around Samarkand with the same name. Also, the name of this garden is mentioned in several travelogues from the world-famous tourists who visited Shiraz during the Safavid period. During the Afsharid era, the Jahan Nama garden was damaged and was later restored by Karim Khan Zand during the Zand dynasty, and a building was built in the middle of the garden. This garden is about 3 hectares wide, through which the Rokn Abad River of Shiraz passes. Other features of this garden are old fruit trees that are still green and fruitful.
Haft Tanan Museum, Tomb of Hafez, Quran Gate, Khwaju Kermani Tomb, and Gahvar-e Did are some of the attractions in the vicinity of the Garden.
