Ghaffariyeh Dome is one of the multiple towers and domes of Maragheh city, which dates back to the Ilkhanate period. Compared to other monuments built during the Ilkhanate period, Ghaffariyeh Dome has decorations including mosaic tiling (a piece of art or image made from the assembling of small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials). There is an inscription on the corridor that has been timeworn, however, archaeologists believe that the name of the owner and the person buried in the dome was engraved on it.
